Precision or Derision? A One-of-a-Kind Golf Event
Will you bring the precision necessary to take home some extra cash? Or will your performance be a source of derision for your friends and family?
The only way to find out is to sign up for this one-day par 3 challenge from your friends at Waynesboro Golf and Games.
Mark your calendar! This unique event takes place on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 6pm.
What You Need to Do
1. Sign up to reserve your spot using the form at the bottom of this page. You must register online so we know how many golfers to expect.
2. Show up on Monday, August 10th no later than 6pm.
3. Tell your friends and co-workers about the event. The more people who play, the bigger the prizes.
How Scoring Works
For the Precision or Derision event, you want to score as many points as possible. There are two ways you can score points during the event.
Scoring Opportunity #1 (Tee Shots)
Golfers will tee off together from Holes 2, 4, 6 and 7 and 9. Once everyone has teed off, all golfers and a staff member will walk to the green. Points are assigned for the following:
- Hole in One – 5 points
- Closest to the Pin, but not a Hole in One – 3 points
- Second Closest to the Pin – 2 points
- On the Green – 1 point
Points will be assigned, and then all golfers will pick up their balls and continue to the second part of the challenge.
Scoring Opportunity #2 (Putting)
All golfers will putt from a pre-determined spot on Holes 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9. Points are assigned for the following:
- Sink the putt – 3 points
- The closest putt that doesn’t go in – 2 points
A Waynesboro Golf & Games staff member will keep a running tally of points.
At the end of nine holes, the golfer with the most points wins. There will be prizes for at least the top 3 finishers.
Prizes, Costs & Other Information
The cost to play in this event is $14. Golfers can also purchase 1 tee shot mulligan for $2 and 1 putting mulligan for $2. This should be done using the registration form below. Registration fees are non-refundable (unless the event is cancelled), so make sure you can be there on August 10th.
The value of the prizes will be determined by the number of golfers who accept the Precision or Derision challenge. $7 of each entry will go toward the prizes. Cash prizes only this year.
